Why Augusta National Is One of the Hardest Golf Courses in the World
In Singapore, a surprising amount of business still happens on the golf course. Client days, corporate outings and weekend rounds with colleagues are part of working life in many industries. If you have been turning down invitations because you do not play, or because you are not confident, you are not alone.
What You Actually Need for Business Golf
You do not need to be a great golfer to enjoy business golf. What you need is to:
- Hit the ball forward reasonably consistently
- Keep up with the pace of play
- Understand basic etiquette and rules
- Stay relaxed enough to enjoy the conversation
Most people can reach that level faster than they think with focused coaching.
The Challenge: Time
The biggest obstacle for most professionals is time. Driving ranges are often far from the office, practice is at the mercy of the weather and weekends are already full.
That is why many of our students choose short, focused lessons close to work. GOLFTEC Raffles Place is in Republic Plaza, a short walk from Raffles Place MRT, making it easy to fit a session into a lunch break or straight after work. GR.iD Mall near Dhoby Ghaut is another convenient option.
A Plan to Get Course-Ready
- Start with an assessment. Understand your starting point and set a realistic goal and timeline.
- Build a reliable long game. A club you trust off the tee and consistent contact with irons.
- Learn a simple short game. Basic chips and putts save more shots than anything else.
- Get your Proficiency Certificate. Many Singapore courses require one before you can book.
- Learn the etiquette. Pace of play, safety and caring for the course.
Arrive With Confidence
The goal is to walk onto the first tee feeling relaxed rather than anxious, so you can focus on the people you are playing with. Our coaches build efficient plans around your schedule and your goals. See our plans and pricing.
