Golf Trial Class in Singapore: What to Expect From Your First Lesson | GOLFTEC Singapore

If you have been thinking about learning golf in Singapore, a trial class is the natural first step. It lets you try the game, meet a coach and see whether the style of teaching suits you before you commit to anything more.

But trial classes vary a lot. Some are a group session on a driving range with a few tips. Others give you a genuine picture of your swing and a plan for improving it.

What a Good First Lesson Should Give You

• An honest starting point. What you are doing well and what is holding you back.
• One or two clear priorities. Not a list of twenty things to fix.
• A feel for the coach. Do they explain things in a way that makes sense to you?
• A plan. What would the next few lessons focus on, and what could you achieve?

What to Expect at GOLFTEC Singapore

Our introductory lesson is the Swing Evaluation, a 60-minute session with a certified coach. It works just as well for complete beginners as for experienced golfers.

• Your coach asks about your experience and goals
• You hit shots while we capture your swing on video and measure your ball flight
• OptiMotion motion capture shows exactly how your body moves during the swing
• Your coach explains what the data shows and works with you on your first priority
• You leave with a clear plan for improving

At the time of writing, the Swing Evaluation is available for SGD 99 as a limited-time offer (usually SGD 195). See our plans and pricing for current details.

How to Prepare

• Wear comfortable clothes you can move freely in
• Bring your clubs if you have them. If not, we have clubs you can use
• Think about your goals. Getting on the course, playing with colleagues or breaking 100 all lead to different plans
• Arrive a few minutes early to settle in

No Heat, No Rain Delays

Because our bays are indoors and air-conditioned, your trial lesson goes ahead whatever the weather. That matters in Singapore, where afternoon storms regularly shut driving ranges.
