Ryan's knowledge and passion are what helps him in being a great coach. A PGA of Canada member since 2011, his experience in many sports has guided and built the way he teaches. Ryan also specializes in putting, from both lessons and fitting. This helps players understand what's happening on the greens unlike anyone else in the Okanagan.

Originally from Edinburgh in Scotland, Finlay began playing when he was 13 at Prestonfield GC in the city center. He represented his county and country at boys and youth level before leaving to play Division 1 golf at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He turned professional on his return at the prestigious Royal Winchester GC becoming a Class A professional in 2004. Finlay has worked over the last 20 years learning from a combination of different coaches such as Butch Harmon and John Jacobs and helped players who have played in the Walker cup and on the European Tour. Kelowna has been home since 2011
